Letter from the Village President
Welcome to the Village website. I have been the Village President since first being elected in 1991. Prior to that, I was a Village Trustee elected in 1985. I am proud of what we have been able to accomplish with the redevelopment on our Miller Park Way corridor, from an open field that was the result of a proposed expressway, that never materialized and took down 1/3 of our housing stock. The revitalized business area now includes a Target, Culver's, Chilis, Arby's, Menards and Pick n Save, to name a few. With Miller Park Way handling almost 60,000 cars a day, businesses and small industry strive to be in West Milwaukee.
The location of our Village really is a key factor in the desire to be in our Village. We are located almost "dead center" of Milwaukee County. When leaving the Village heading north on Miller Park Way one can easily be in the downtown area within minutes, as well as other areas of the county.
Having Miller Park as a neighbor also is a plus to all of our businesses during events. All in all, West Milwaukee is a great place to live and do business. We welcome visitors to come and see what we are all about.
