There is a Village Board meeting scheduled for Monday, May 20, 2024. The Tourism Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Public Safety Committee and Finance Committee. The main Village Board meeting is at 7:00 pm. All meetings will be held in the Village Board Room at the West Milwaukee Community Centre located at 1345 S. 47th St.

Christmas trees can be placed at the curb or in your normal garbage collection area for disposal. The Department of Public Works will collect them until early February. Wreaths should be treated as garbage and can be placed out for regular garbage collection.
The Village of West Milwaukee is accepting applications from Village residents for vacant positions on the Board of Review and Board of Appeals. Applications and more information are available at Committees/Commissions – Village of West Milwaukee.
Paper property tax statements will be mailed in mid-December. The bills are mailed to the owner of record per the Milwaukee County Registrar of Deeds unless an official mailing address change has been made at the Village Clerk’s office or Assessor’s office prior to November 15. If you do not receive a tax bill by December 15, the tax bill can be obtained online at the link above.
To have your 2023 taxes marked paid in 2023, payments must be received in our office on or before December 28, 2023, by 4:30pm. Since this is not an actual payment due date, postmarks will not be used. Make sure you are aware of the holidays that we are closed for business, so as to alleviate any problems when paying your taxes.
Christmas Hours:
The Clerk’s office and Department of Public Works will be closed on Friday, December 22nd and Monday, December 25th.
NYE Holiday Hours:
We will also be closed on Friday, December 29th and Monday, January 1st, 2024.
