The Village of West Milwaukee’s Department of Public Works is hiring a Equipment Operator/Laborer. Please see below the job description and the application. You may also drop off the job application in-person at the Village of West Milwaukee’s Clerk/Treasurer’s Department (4755 W. Beloit Rd.).

Loving Touch Infant Massage Class

The West Allis Health Department is pleased to announce its next scheduled Loving Touch Infant Massage Classes to be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 and Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Health Department (7120 W. National Ave.) from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Participants will learn the many benefits of infant massage while practicing this gentle art in a very supportive, relaxed atmosphere. The class is facilitated by a certified infant massage instructor.

Class fees to be collected at the first class are $10 for West Allis-West Milwaukee residents and $20 for non-residents. Fees include both days of instruction as well as all hand-out material and surprise giveaways.

Bring a mat or blanket and dress comfortably as class is held sitting on the floor. Infants must be no more than 6 months of age.

Class size is limited so please register early. Register online or call the West Allis Health Department at (414) 302-8600 to assure a spot for you and your little bundle.

Golden Ager’s Holiday Party 2019

On Friday, December 20th, the Village of West Milwaukee recommenced the Golden Ager’s Holiday Party for the 2019 holiday season! Following tradition, the event was held at Pershing Elementary School and featured a delicious buffet provided by St. Florian’s Church, wonderful holiday music, and a choir concert by students of Pershing Elementary.

The Village of West Milwaukee thanks everyone who attended, all of the volunteers (especially including the student volunteers from Pershing Elementary), and all who contributed to the success of the event, including the local businesses who donated to the event.

We hope to see everyone back again for the 2020 Golden Ager’s!

Golden Agers’ Holiday Party 2019

The Village of West Milwaukee will once again be holding the Golden Agers’ Holiday Party this year! The holiday party is for West Milwaukee residents, ages 60 and over. The event will take place on Friday, December 20th at Pershing Elementary (1330 S. 47th St). Doors will open at 11:00 a.m. and food will be served at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $8.00 each and include a meal. There will also be prizes. 

If you wish to attend, tickets will be on sale at the Clerk/Treasurer’s Office (4755 W. Beloit Rd.) from Monday, November 4th to Monday, December 2nd. Spots are limited!

Free Health Class: Gynecologic Cancers

Gynecologic Cancers: Going public with “private” concerns

On Tuesday, December 3rd at 10:00 a.m., the West Allis Senior Center (7001 W. National Ave.) will be hosting a presentation on Gynecological Cancers. Attendees need NOT be members to attend, and West Milwaukee residents are encouraged to attend the program. 

Attendees will learn signs and symptoms, screening recommendations, and how to reduce the risk of gynecological cancers. To register, please call (414) 302-8700. Attendees receive free information and a small gift.
